About
After achieving my NVQ levels at college, I
started out as a pastry chef in John Lewis in 2001 where I built the
foundations of my future career.
Six years later, I continued to pursue my
dream and progress in the industry by moving away from everything I knew to the
island of Ibiza working as the Head Chef in a beautiful restaurant in Santa
Eulalia, creating British & Mediterranean a la carte cuisine.
In 2010 I returned to the UK beginning my
new venture with a company called Clifton Cakes, crafting and decorating
bespoke wedding & celebration cakes.
I soon discovered I had a real flair for baking and knew this was the
industry where I would make a name for myself.
Since that day, I have developed the
skills, technique and experience necessary to create the most beautiful cakes
for all occasions. Training in the art of sugar crafting and chocolate
sculpting, I now pass on my knowledge by teaching various classes for others to
learn.
Thirteen years on, I decided it was time to
show the world what I can do on my own. My company CakeSmiths was founded in
2013.
